Volunteer at the North Fraser Therapeutic Riding Association
NFTRA Our Therapeutic Riding Program depends on volunteers like you to provide the unique form of therapy one can only get from a horse. We need people to groom, tack, handle the horses and to act as support people for riders with disabilities. Some of our riders are as young as 3 years old and it is wonderful to see what being on a horse can do for them.
Do you love being around horses? Do you enjoy assisting people with special needs?
If you can give NFTRA a couple of hours every week, we have a tailor-made volunteer job for you!
Come and spend time with some of the most gentle and generous equines around, and feel the satisfaction that a worthwhile volunteer job can give.
We provide free training and offer Therapeutic Riding Assistant courses and certification.
Get together with a friend or come try it on your own.
To be accepted as a volunteer, it's a requirement that you complete the following application forms and return them to the NFTRA at the address shown below:
All new volunteers must attend one of the Sunday volunteer training sessions with one of the NFTRA instructors.

Our Sponsors along with the generous donations received and the time consuming efforts of our volunteers makes it all possible.
