Alabhai
Alabhai came to NFTRA in March 2005 from Okanagan Falls. He is a beautiful 15.1HH Chestnut Gelding. Alibhai was born in 1981 and from the time his front feet touched the ground he was already anxious to explore his new surroundings. When he first arrived at our barn it quickly became obviously that this horse was an escape artist. He easily jumped our post & rail fences and even the electric fencing did not deter him. Escaping was not his priority though, only the greener grass on the other side of each fence lured him to leave his buddies. From the beginning Alabhai has always been wonderful with riders & volunteers.

Bentley
Our Roany Pony Bentley stands 13.1HH and was born in 1995. A handsome little fellow with a quick stride, Bentley is wonderful for some of our smallest riders. It is also nice for our volunteer side walkers to have a shorter horse to work with.

Buck & Rupert
Almost as wide as they are tall, these Norwegian Fjord geldings had been enjoying a lot of pasture time prior to NFTRA receiving them in the program in November 2009. The pair settled well into life at NFTRA and have proven to be a great asset to our program. Norwegian Fjords are typically strong, gentle in nature, and willing work horses. As well they are generally under 14HH which makes them ideal Therapeutic Equine Therapists. In order to tell one from the other, Rupert has been given a Mullet Mane hair cut and Buck has a mane hair cut that looks like a piano keyboard. Buck & Rupert are 10 years old.

My Girl Lollypop (AKA Lolly)
All our ponies seem to be 13.1HH and Lolly is no exception. Another Welsh pony, black in color, she born in 1987. Although Lolly is the oldest pony in the group you´d never know it by looking at her. She has a spring in her step and bright, beautiful eyes. When Lolly arrived at NFTRA in January of 2009 she was an instant success. Her quiet, calm demeanor and willingness to please made her a perfect candidate for this environment. She has become a darling of the barn, loved by riders & volunteers alike.

Bramber´s Orion (AKA Orion)
If NFTRA was going to have a mascot it would probably be Orion. His stocky, solid body, and huge face always draw
people to him. Orion has the most beautiful, soft, brown eyes you´ll ever see. He is a registered Canadian Fjord born in the prairies
on March 15, 1996. In March 2002 NFTRA was lucky to welcome him into our program. For our older, bigger, riders Orion is their guy.
He patiently accepts all riders and calmly does his job helping those folks on his back to enjoy their ride. He also likes to
stand close to the apple tree just in case one should fall at his feet.

Teddy Bear (AKA Teddy)
We just can´t seem to have too many of these Fjords. Soon we´ll have enough for our own drill team! Teddy is a 13.1HH Welsh Fjord Gelding
born in 1997 whom we purchased in November 2003. He shares his paddock with his pal Orion and he too is often stretching
his neck under the rails to nibble on the tasty green grass or the apples that have fallen from the tree.
