About the North Fraser Therapeutic Riding Association
North Fraser Therapeutic Riding Association (NFTRA) provides professional therapeutic equine activities enriching the lives
of physically, emotionally and developmentally challenged individuals through social, recreational and national competitive
riding programs.The NFTRA has been providing therapeutic riding in Maple Ridge for over 30 years.
From a humble beginning, the North Fraser Therapeutic Riding Association (NFTRA) has
developed into a leader in therapeutic riding serving individuals from Mission to North Vancouver.
From time to time lessons are conducted by nationally certified instructors using the time
and talents of our volunteers.
The Head Instructor, Fionna Christensen, holds the distinction of having been voted Canada´s Coach of the Year.
Our Sponsors along with the generous donations received and the time consuming efforts of
our volunteers makes it all possible.
